Alton Jackson, II, amicably known as AJ, is a native of Washington, DC. He is a producer, musician, vocalist, entrpreneur, and sound engineer with over 15 years of experience. AJ has worked with world renowned music producers, such as Teddy Riley, Micayle “The Mack” McKinney, and Floyd "Flip Matrix" Wilcox. He is the owner of KoLAB Entertainment which is an entertainment industry business hub.

AJ obtained a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Vocal Music Performance with a Minor in Piano Performance from Bowie State University, and has also received an Avid Certification in Pro Tools Post and Music Engineering from Video Symphony in Burbank, California. AJ is a member of Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity Inc. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Entertainment Business.

AJ began working in the industry as an Assistant Sound Engineer for GDIC, a local DMV sound and lighting company. He has also worked with a variety of churches on the East Coast and on the West Coast serving as a Musician, Consultant, and

Administrator.

​

As a producer and engineer for various production camps AJ has been afforded the opportunity of working on projects for Michael Jackson, Kirk Franklin, Howard Hewett, Keke Palmer, Black Street, Paige Miles, Taryn Manning and various other artist. He is passionate about discovering and developing new talent. His goal is to keep his finger on the pulse of music and media while navigating through changes in business practices, marketing and commercial selling platform changes, and consumer’s consumption entertainment trends.
